AFW Fight Arrangers & Coordinators Workshop
The AFW trains students in the details of staging action for film and television. Whether it is a two-person back-alley fistfight, a multi-camera stunt, or a complicated period swordfight, the arranger's job of translating the movement to camera is completely covered.
You’ll work side by side with professionals who will oversee the creation of the action, help you train the actors and stunt doubles, and be with you on set to make sure that your vision is safely, quickly, and excitingly put down on tape.
AFW actors are chosen for their physical skills, and are often seasoned performers of action with on camera action experience. This large pool of talent gives our student fight arrangers greater freedom and range in the fights they create.
You’ll work in a variety of styles and formats and will be exposed to the entire action film genre. You’ll gain experience with single- and multi-camera work on set and on location.
You will also gain fight choreography experience in pre-production rehearsal sessions, and become adept at modifying choreography to the demands of the setting, SFX and camera framing.
The Fight Arranger track of the workshop offers years of experience in a matter of weeks. Professional mentors with in-depth experience in film and TV will offer you personalized training, tips, and encouragement throughout the workshop.
