Workshops
AFW Directors Workshop
Directors receive instruction, DGA mentoring, and practical experience in all areas of action film production. Directors adapt scripts to specific styles, develop them into shooting scripts and storyboards, and utilize available talent and locations to capture the necessary shots to tell the story.
Directors perform exercises in single- and multi-camera staging, exploring the power of music, jib-crane shots, dynamic camera movement, artistic lighting, etc. Directors learn to transport ordinary shots into high style and create effective action sequences.
